Visit prep

Bring a short record to the visit

Good notes help the conversation stay about your health, the exact product, and the next step.

Before the visit

  • List medicines and supplements you already take.
  • Note allergies and past reactions.
  • Write the goal in your own words.
  • Bring recent records you want the doctor, nurse, or physician assistant to see.
  • Keep the question list open.

During the visit

As of September 2026, an Indiana online visit requires the clinician (the doctor, nurse, or physician assistant) to identify you and your location and share their name and licence.

As of September 2026, the clinician must learn enough about you to say what is wrong. They must then explain why they think so, your treatment choices, the good and bad sides of each, and whether a visit in person would be better.

After the visit

Read the summary while the conversation is fresh. If the medicine name, dose, label, or price differs from what you heard, ask the clinician or pharmacist to explain.

Check the pharmacy

As of September 2026, Indiana online care must include follow-up instructions and a visit summary that lists any prescription.
