The Indiana rules that change the answer
Where you sit, who treats you, and how the visit happens all matter.
Guide, not a care service

Guide note
Where you are decides which licence counts
A polished site is not the proof. The state licence record is.
As of September 2026, a clinician (a doctor, nurse, or physician assistant) treating a person who is in Indiana needs an Indiana licence, even when the clinician is somewhere else.

A form alone does not make a visit
A proper online visit is a real back-and-forth with the person treating you, usually by video. A form you fill in, with nobody asking you anything back, is not enough on its own.
As of September 2026, Indiana medical board rules ban treatment, including a prescription, that rests only on an online form or a one-off online exchange. The doctor must first examine you well enough to make a diagnosis and write that down.
